Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) 2019-2020: Fact Sheet

In 2019-20, there were 569 HSIs located in 30 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. These institutions represented 18% of all institutions of higher education and enrolled 67% of Latino undergraduates. In this fact sheet, we provide a summary of HSIs, Emerging HSIs (eHSIs), and HSIs with Graduate Programs (gHSIs).
