Overview

Latino and Black student retention has decreased since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. From Spring through Fall 2020, both student groups saw disproportionate declines in enrollment and retention.

This factsheet provides a look at trends in Latino and Black students’ first-year retention rates nationally and across sectors during the COVID-19 pandemic.
