Of these nominations, Excelencia has selected 4 Examples of Excelencia, 1 in each of our 4 categories: Associate, Baccalaureate, Graduate, and Community-Based Organizations, as programs that stood out as effective evidence-based practices accelerating Latino student success. In addition, 12 programs were highlighted as 2019 Examples of Excelencia finalists for their efforts to serve Latino students in higher education. Learn More 2019 Seal of Excelencia Recipients In 2019, Excelencia announced the inaugural cohort of institutions earning certification for serving Latino students. The Seal of Excelencia certification provides independent verification of institutions serving Latino students by intentionally aligning data, practice, and leadership. The Seal benefits institution, students, and community and accelerates the number of students with degrees by 2030.
