Excelencia in Education Receives Important Grant by Ascendium Education Group to Expand Work WASHINGTON, D.C. - January 14, 2021 – Excelencia in Education is starting the new year with increased support for its national leadership in understanding and advancing Latino student success through an important grant from Ascendium Education Group. The grant will support identifying strategies for institutional resiliency in Puerto Rico dealing with multiple calamities and promote student success for rural and Latino learners.

SBCC’s Express to Success Wins Exemplary Award Published By Noozhawk January 29, 2018 Santa Barbara City College has been recognized as one of two colleges to receive the California Community Colleges Board of Governors Exemplary Program Award. In 2014 it was honored by Washington, D.C.-based Excelencia in Education as America’s top program for increasing Latino student success in two-year colleges.
