Meeting the increasing challenges of a global economy requires all in the U.S. are well educated, especially the growing Latino population. Now, more than ever, it is necessary to build momentum to capture the talents of Latino students and enhance their transitions into a highly skilled workforce and into leadership roles in the U.S. society. Educators and policymakers are looking to invest in strategies that show evidence of effectiveness.

More Latinos are completing college degrees. While change is happening, it is not happening fast enough. That is Excelencia’s mission. We have a “Latino focus” and we are about accelerating Latino student success.

Excelencia in Education is a trusted information source on the status of Latino educational achievement, a major resource for influencing policy at the institutional, state, and national levels, and a widely recognized advocate for expanding evidence-based practices to accelerate Latino student success in higher education. Excelencia’s network of results-oriented educators and policymakers are bringing these solutions into action to address the U.S. economy’s need for a highly educated workforce and for civic leadership.
