2016 Examples of Excelencia

2016 Examples of Excelencia

The growth of the Latino community and educational excellence are intertwined. Only by having more college-educated Americans can this country thrive.

Sarita E. Brown, President, Excelencia in Education

Through Examples of Excelencia, Excelencia in Education recognizes programs that accelerate Latino student success in four categories: the Associate, Baccalaureate, Graduate levels as well as Community-Based Organizations (CBOs).

In 2016 we received over 190 nominations from 33 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico and recognized 20 finalists. An external selection committee then selected four programs, one program per category, as the 2016 Examples of Excelencia.
