The program was implemented to provide information, campus visits and workshops, with involvement from SDSU faculty and student service personnel, making student transition more seamless and assuring greater academic success once students enroll in classes.

The program proposed to integrate services to expedite and ease the return of Latino/Latina students with 90 credits hours or more who left the university in good standing without completing a bachelor degree.

The project includes a student support and retention model to engage, prepare and mobilize a minimum of 200 first-generation Latino students through additional support of student leaders/interns, events to increase awareness of available services, and supplemental instruction in key gateway courses.
