More Latinos are earning master’s degrees. Between 1996 and 2006, the number of master’s degrees conferred on Latinos rose 125%. In comparison, the number earned by whites increased 32%, blacks 128%, and Asians 87%. By gender, the number of master’s degrees earned by Hispanic males increased 99% and females 142%.
