Student COntact REquest (SCORE)
Through Student COntact REquest (SCORE), the College will increase Latino college completion by providing an academic safety net for students at risk of failing or dropping out.
An electronic student referral system, SCORE ensures access to advising and other free student resources such as referrals to peer mentoring services, tutors and specialists who are trained to provide academic skills support for first-year and first generation students. SCORE will facilitate connecting the identified students with the resources, paperwork, or personnel in order to enhance student retention and academic longevity.
Program targets to improve the institutional identification and issues that prompt students to fail or withdraw, impacting retention particularly of first-time in college (FTIC) students.
This is a program that is attempting to replicate promising practices. Evidence of Effectiveness is not yet available on this program.
