This smaller database just of HSIs pulls from our Growing What Works (GWW) database and is a resource for institutional leaders, funders, policymakers and others looking for asset-based approaches and programs that show evidence of effectiveness in accelerating Latino student success at HSIs. Undergraduate students are trained to conduct research in environmental and molecular biology issues related to animal food production.  Faculty from five different academic departments serve as mentors for the students.  Students are expected to write a research report and to present their results at local or international meetings.
