Sarita Brown,  president and co-founder of Excelencia in Education, will address Latinos in the Nation's Future and the great potential for college-going talent during her lecture, Excelencia in Education.

Excelencia in Education will unveil a new report on Tuesday, April 6, that examines practical, short and long-term strategies to accelerate higher education success for college and university students in Florida, with an emphasis on the state's Latino students.

Florida Policy Options to Accelerate Latino Student Success in Higher Education, authored by Excelencia in Education with support from USA Funds and the Lumina Foundation for Education and conducted in cooperation with the Florida Hispanic Legislative Caucus and ENLACE Florida, offers policy recommendations to improve graduation rates and educational attainment of Florida's future work force.

An invitational Summit for private colleges and universities that are contributing to the national goal of increasing the number of underserved students receiving a college degree.

Estela R. Lopez, Senior Program Advisor for Excelencia in Education will participate in a summit session titled, Effective Learning Practices In and Out of the Classroom.

Sarita E. Brown, President of Excelencia in Education will participate in the University of Texas at San Antonio Academy for Teacher Excellence Latinos in STEM Summit.
