Reginald Wilson
Secretary-Treasurer, Excelencia in Education
Reginald Wilson serves as Senior Scholar Emeritus at the American Council on Education, having held this distinguished position since October 1988. He originally joined the Council in October 1981 as the founding director of the Office of Minority Concerns. Prior to his appointment, Wilson was president of Wayne County Community College in Detroit for 10 years. He is the author of Human Development in the Urban Community and Civil Liberties and the U.S., and editor of Race and Equality in Higher Education.
He also co-authored the American Council on Education's "Annual Status Report on Minorities in Higher Education," which he initiated in 1982. He is an editor of Minorities in Higher Education and Race and Equity in Higher Education, and serves on the editorial boards of American Journal of Education, The Urban Review and About Campus.
